Frits Meyst, Jewish Graves in Koysinjag, Iraqi Kurdistan 1994

"We know the graves are of Jews because they face Jerusalem, not Mecca." These are the words of a local Kurd from Koysinjag, once the home of a vibrant Jewish community of traders. A dirt road was constructed through the Jewish cemetery, and due to its constant usage the graves are now exposed.
