The address written in the ID card of Galawejc's father, Shlomo Aziz Hakim, born in 1897, is "the Jewish area, house 11/164." Below, it states that her mother, Pirosa Binjamin Jacub was born in Halabja in 1926. The Binjamin family owns several stores in Suleimaniya. During the mass immigration to Israel, Galawejc's father refused to leave, not believing that the Jewish state would survive. He later changed his mind, but by then it was too late - Iraq had closed its borders.
